Can ART only be seen in galleries and museums?
Actually, NO! Look around you! What sort of environment are you surrounded with? Have a look at all the objects that create the atmosphere in the room. Look at the carpet, the teapot, the paintings on the walls, the ring on your finger, the vase with the flowers…
Art is a diverse range of human activities – a result of creative or imaginative talent, expressiveness of technical proficiency, beauty, emotional power, or conceptual ideas.
Whether it is a poster, an exquisite painting hanging above the sofa, or the plates you are eating on, it is all art.

In the Western tradition, the three classical branches of visual art are painting, sculpture, and
architecture. Theater, dance, and other performing arts, as well as literature, music, film, and other media, are included in a broader definition of art.
Until the 17th century, art referred to any skill or mastery and was not differentiated from crafts or sciences. In modern usage, the fine arts are separated and distinguished from acquired skills in general, such as the decorative or applied arts.
To sum up, art, either a product of fine or applied arts, is essential. It appears to be morally needed. Art provides us with a crucial glimpse into history – a means through which we can understand the life of the humans that came before us and without which the world would be a far less interesting and inspiring place! It provides a doorway into galaxies of possibility for expression and a platform for political and social commentary.
