1. TikTok Will [probably] Overtake the Social Media Ads Business
Are you exploiting TikTok for your business?
If you still haven’t created a TikTok account for your business, or you haven’t entertained the idea of TikTok influencer campaigns for business growth, then it’s time to do so. Here are some numbers to back them:
TikTok is still growing and there are a few years of growth yet to come. For any business such as yours, this means that there are free spaces and new markets to tap into.
Do you have a marketing strategy for growing your audience on TikTok?
There are quite a few things to be discussed and talked about when a business considers a market expansion or communication focus shift. Such is the case of course when deciding to invest in establishing a bigger presence in a new platform. Legitimate topics that need to be well planned are the target audience, ideal client profile, business offer, demographics, psychographics, platform specifics, content strategy, ad spend, competition, and a whole lot more. But pretty much there is nothing marketing-related with which we can’t help you.
2. Content Will Be (bigger) KING
With the global ad money and brand investments already going down we will see that on a company level this will result in more focus on quality content because this way companies will try to bring about the same results that they are used to but with smarter investment in their marketing and content strategies.
3. Customer Retention Will Be In Focus
With the global economy, going down in a global recession, looking behind the corner, will be seeing that long-term relationships with current customers will prevail over, trying to acquire more and more and more new customers. This way that the value of one single customer goes up and companies will try to make those particular people that already trusted their brand spend even more so on their products or services.
For this to work brands, have to sit down and figure out what their clients need. With all of that sad communication with the followers, subscribers and clients will be key to growing a business.
4. Empathy In Content Will Become Mandatory
For the previous advice [Number three] to work all the communication of the brand and its content creation strategy should be heavily intertwined with empathy. And faking it won’t cut it. People already know when a brand is trying to fake its way into trusting them. So keeping in mind that the client’s needs come first, and what day desire from any type of business, should be even more so a task for the marketing department of that business to figure out. Back in the days when there wasn’t that much abundance of products and services. It was probably easier, but that’s not the case anymore.
As the famous saying goals seek first to understand, then to be understood. Only this way you will be able able to help your potential or current clients and grow your business. Do not try to just sell them something. Rather offer help.
5. Influencer Marketing for Business to Business
It’s about time companies to start exploring influencer marketing to create better business 2 business communication and drive business growth through that. The reason for that is that marketing should not be boring, even if it is targeted towards another company. after all the decisions in those companies are made by people it’s just that the name on the credit card is different. So marketing will become end continue its evolution into being more and more human.
6. Facebook Ads Will Probably Start Losing Their High Ground
Don’t get it wrong. We are not saying Facebook ads are dying or won’t be useful. It’s just they will become harder and harder to do because of all of the competition. TikTok is giving Facebook, Apple’s iOS updates, and the sturdy turn of Meta towards creating the metaverse. In addition to that people are becoming more and more aware of marketing tactics and schemes, and are not that easy to fool by marketing tricks.
This means that landing pages that say you have 15 more minutes discounts on that product or service but are always saying that and even if you go one week from your last visit to the landing page it will still say you still have 15 minutes to order. Schemes like this which we honestly think are fraudulent will become thing of the past. It won’t happen overnight and it probably won’t happen in one year, but we have seen their demise, and hopefully sooner rather than later their end.
Let’s back up that statement with some numbers and facts, shall we?
Facebook has announced that it will lay off 11,000 of its 87,000 (as of September 2022) employees. This is no doubt a difficult decision that is influenced by many factors, some of which are:
- the pandemic
- shrinking economy => shrinking advertising budgets
- fierce competition from TikTok
- a risky turn towards developing the metaverse
The giant has declared a 50% drop in profits for last year, and Meta’s market cap has shrunk from $1,000,000,000,000 (trillion) to $250,000,000,000 (billion).
7. Video Will CONTINUE to Dominate
Video has been the dominant type of content for the past few years end it will be even more soulful next year. We’ve seen the rise of podcasts and the prediction of audio as the new dominant content format but it only proves that video is king because almost every big podcast has a YouTube channel on which we can watch the episodes because they’re filmed in the studio where the podcast is happening.
Even more so video content is growing and evolving and it’s not only going to be recorded videos with a camera and microphone and older traditional equipment needed. We are seeing the rise of animated videos, which does not mean children’s animation, but animation for business purposes. The so-called explainer animation or explainer infographics are on the huge rise, and new channels are popping up daily.
This is driven by all the companies trying to make marketing lean and get more done with fewer finances. Animated video is cheaper than a recorded video manifold.
It’s high time, businesses and brands tap into influencer marketing.
